The Farmers Market in Detroit was first opened in 1841 at Cadillac Square in downtown.

Today, it hosts over 225 vendors and up to 45,000 daily visitors. “Eastern Market is the largest historic public market district in the United States, and the Eastern Market farmer's distribution center is the largest open-air flowerbed market in the United States and has more than 150 foods and specialty businesses.”

Northville Farmers Market is open each Thursday during May through October. Visitors enjoy over 70 stalls of Michigan-made and Michigan-grown products. Plants and flowers are available in addition to crafters, garden art, soaps, jewelry, furniture, woodworking, and home accessories.

Northville also offers access to Master Gardeners who are available to answer your gardening questions each Thursday until noon.

The Farmers Community Market is held every Saturday morning at The Gathering across from Kellogg Park and the street in front of the park. The Farmer’s Market will be closed on Art in the Park and the Plymouth Fall Festival weekends.

This year’s market features a variety of fresh produce, vegetables, herbs, flowering plants, fresh and dried flowers, eggs, meats, baked goods, popcorn, cherry products, honey, jams & jellies and more. There will also be handmade and recycled items available.
